And Now I'm Home

I'm Finally back in the great city of New York just time for the celebrations! I hope everyone has a great night! Don't get too smashed! Happy New Year!!!

yes, he does make that face in the video. look it up.

Returning home

I know I've been home, but to be honest, I like New York enough to make it a home. The past two months have shown me that it is the place I want to live. All of the time.

Anyway, I fly out in about 4 hours and am going back to start school again which is really exciting.
I'll post once or twice about some adventures since my being back home in Washington.
Anyhow, I want to say I love my grandparents more than anything. If it weren't for them I never would've made it home. Thank you guys. Merry Christmas everyone. The new year draws near and I'm excited for the future.
Rock on friends.

This year has gotten old. I'm thinking about changing it.

I'm ready to put this year behind me. My life has pretty much been an existential quandary since June.

Anyway, here's a great link to an article that I enjoyed reading. Love to hear someone's thoughts.

and here's some music for while you read:

A Christmas Post

On this the 12:30 of Christmas morn, I say merry Christmas to you all! I hope everyone is swimmingly happy and enjoying the time with their families. In Mass today, I made a drawing. So, I figured I'd share it with you.

(A song started in church and every time they said "Lamb of God", I would chuckle to myself and then I drew this.)

A White Christmas

After a long day yesterday, I'm home for the hollidays in grand old Yakima, Washington.
It's fine to see all of my family and friends.
I even get to see my grandparents off before they leave south! I got to see my god mother, Donna! :] Which was wonderful. Uncle Chris, Wish I could've caught you  while we were there. I love you guys!

Anyway, it looks like a nice two weeks of being home enjoying home. I plan on relaxing a lot. Let's see how much I update. Sorry if it's not much.

Well that's over and done!
Just finished the last of my midterms today so I figured I'd do a self evaluation of my progress.
I learned a ton over the last two months it's unbelievable. I just can't wait for break. I'm ready to go home and see everyone... I've worked hard... I'm tired. So I'll leave you with this for now:

Captivating stuff.

[Note: Lizzie is a nickname simply shortening the full name of Elizabeth. She may or may not prefer Elizabeth]

Phrase of the day

Little bit of philosophy for you

You always have the decision on whether you will succeed or fail.
If you hand the decision onto someone else, you will fail in the longrun.
If you have the basic want to succeed, you always have the ability to make it happen.

Short and simple

Here's a few musicals that I've come to love recently.
They're not new, but they are good.

The Story of My Life
A musical about a man and his best friend. The story starts with him writing his friend's eulogy.
His friend appears in the library that they're in and helps him write it. They go through all of the stories they have from their childhood and through growing up. Great show about friendship that is really touching.

I love you Because
A simple love story in New York. It's really funny and touching with songs about breakups and the technicalities of getting over them. I highly recommend this one.

*Apologies for the size of the picture

My Favorite Year
A story about Benjy Stone, a 19 year old amateur writer for a famous television broadcasting company in 1954. He gets the chance to work with his childhood hero, a washed up actor named Alan Swann. It's full of mishaps, shenanigans and the latter. A fantastic musical that's just a joy to listen to. I got to perform a song from here in class for about a month and enjoyed every minute of it.
That's all for now. I might do this every so often.

Recently, while visiting my lovely home away from home at midtown comics in Downtown New York,
I managed to come across the first edition of a new comic.
"But Bos, what is this comic?", you might ask?
Well, it's only Voltron: Defenders of the Universe!!!

That's right! They have re... started, if you will, the comic books for the series. A brand new taste of the same original story, with Zarkon, Commander Fucking Keith, and all the loveable characters you know so well.
I've read this one and it seems like they have a really interesting story put together!
All I can say is I'll be following it! Super exciting!

[Title of Blog]

In today's news, several video games sit on my plate as being some fantastic/sadly addictive.
I finally got around to playing a 3 year old game... Mirror's Edge. Loved it. It's a lot of fun with great story to follow and amazing game play.
For those who don't know, it's basically a game where you're a female free runner, although in the game they just call themselves runners.
Anyway, it's a lot of fun and even though it's a few years old, the graphics, for those who care, are pretty good and the physics engine they use works really affectively. I loike it.

Now onto the behemoth of awesome that is Bethesta and their brand new installment of SKYRIM: Elder Scrolls V [5]
As an avid Elder Scrolls fan since Morrowind, I've found myself accustomed to the changes that Bethesda includes in each game.
Oblivion came out and I remember feeling the same towards that as I do this.
I think the gameplay is fantastic! The Duel wielding actions work near to seamlessly and as an addition to the combat system that has worked for the franchise in the past, I feel it is a great decision to include.
The scenery is always breathtaking, Especially Skyrim, the world you are dropped into is staggering. The attention to detail in building these worlds is astounding and never fail to amaze me. A new game engine gave them the addition of rivers and other really cool weather, nature, and atmospheric effects!
When playing it, I found myself noticing it being strangely similar to Oblivion.  I could just explore for hours and never get bored with the world.
I know I'm months late in dropping in on this game, but what with college, it's been difficult to write a blog about it.
Also, I love how the guards in Skyrim are just as quotable as the guards in Cyrodiil. It was truly something worth appreciating.

Anger is simply energy that life sends you. How you deal with it is your choice.

So in the recent past, I started a blog. Interesting how it's tough to get into the habit of writing. This so far has essentially been a lonely journal to myself, but it's good for me to get my thoughts down. I might get better at it as I go.  It is funny, however, that the human mind has the capacity to learn simply by working it's own thoughts out.

(edit)This was quite a mopey post. I decided to get rid of most of it on the fact that most of it was just pointless babble you would probably hate me for. But I promise these will brighten up. If someone happens upon this, send me a message or two. Tell me what I should write about... [edit v.2]
On a brighter note, THE CROW. Old movie. Old story. Great comic book. Look it up.

One Day More (Or some other cheesy song quote)

Interesting how in the course of a few days, NOTHING happens.
But in a sense, things did. But I do not have a large post for today so I'll just give a quote from my voice coach that I feel fits in a lot of different ways.
"There are no problems, only solutions."
Take from it what you will.
Good day to you all.
Also, Brodyquest.

New Beginnings, Or so it could be called...

So I've decided to start a blog. We will see where this goes. I never thought of myself as a blogger but I figured I'd give it a shot. It might help me somewhere along the way in terms of getting noticed. Just one more way for people to find me.

Anyhow, this is just a simple hello. A greetings to those who find me/ follow/ whatever you end up doing to see other people.

I'll begin with a little about myself. I'm 18, currently attending a college in New York.  I am majoring in Musical Theatre.
I sing, act, hardly dance, but all 'n all, I do my best to keep my future open. I've essentially just started school, but I'm far enough into the semester that I don't have to juggle things around trying to figure my life out.
This will be another way of balancing my focus! :]
I enjoy video games. So that's something I can converse about to anyone.
I'll leave this post at that! I hope I start to meet some cool new people and I hope I might catch some "attention"
See you all soon!
