Once Upon A Time

I decided to make a blog........... being the irresponsible shit I am, I keep saying I'll post more and I don't.
I'm keeping this thing... but I think it's gonna sit tight for a bit. I'm going home for the summer in a month so I probably will post then... But for now, this looks like my last New York blog......
Maybe not... we'll see how this turns out...

I want to thank those who read this for being patient and I'm sorry I'm so bad at this.

until I remember.

It's Been Such A Long Time

IM SO SORRY.... If any of you would get the reference to vgcats, I feel like I'm exactly like Scott, the artist who makes the comic. I promise to update often, but I never do.... So to all of you, I apologize for that. BUT! Second semester is going super swell! I'm chasing tap dancing like it's going outta style.
I'm beginning to realize that tap dancing is my favorite part of the school curriculum, and my musical theatre teacher is so fuckin cool. All and all, school is even better, a bit more busier, that it was before and I'm having a blast.

In other news, I'm rereading some old Sherlock Holmes books by the great Sir Aurthur Conan Doyle. My childhood favorites and shall I say probably the greatest character ever created in a novel (In my humble opinion.) Nevertheless, they're always a joy and if you are in a book store anywhere, I highly recommend them.
Also in the book section, I just finished the graphic novel series of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The movie was based of these amazing books by Bryan Lee O'Malley. Basically as good as the movie times ten.
Finally, I'll come to a close with HALF LIFE.

A series for all systems is a game that goes far beyond what it was expected to do. The whole series is fantastic and I just recently finished it. I had a blast playing them, the story is so compelling and the imagination and whit that went into these games is amazing. Bravo Valve. Bravo.

And that is it! I hope you guys don't hate me for going missing for a while. I have no idea when I'll post again, but I'll try to make it soon.

Off to the Races Again.

So I'm off to school once more. The adventures seemed to pass by quickly, but quite a bit happened this weekend and I'm gonna try and cover that in a post soon here in the future. But I'm off to school again as of this morning. So here I go!
In somewhat random news, there's a band that I was recently introduced to called Caleb Lionheart. They're not the greatest band in the world, but I thoroughly enjoyed a performance by them and they managed to make a fan of me. But here's a song of theirs called Make Believe. Tell me what you think!

A dud.

Well, I completed none of the games on my game list. Although I did get some ground covered in Half Life 2. I HAD done some work in Skyrim, only to have 5 hours of play through suddenly be lost because of a save error. welp! that's how it goes!

And here I am back from my trip to Lodi, New Jersey! I went with my doppelganger Austin Axel Zeno, the baddest ass this side the Mississippi.  Although it's for a short time for I'm simply commuting back over to Long Branch in just a few moments! So this is me checking in. Hope everyone had a great week!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

sad day

so unfortunately, just cause 2 can't run on my compy.
Anyone got a game worth replacing that on the list?

Game list

With a week of nothing, I've decided to put together a game list of games I must finally finish now that I have time. So I share it with you here.

This is the list in order of importance:
1) E.S. IV: Skyrim
2) Half Life 2: Episode 2
3) Half Life
4) Just Cause 2

I figure it shouldn't be too difficult.
It's a one week break so I have plenty of time to try and finish.
Wish me luck!
I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.

If any of you who read the previous post are truly curious, there's a really interesting report that I read.

It's called the ladder theory. It's all about how women and men behave around each other and the way relationships form and function.
Great read for anyone really. Or at least I would think so. It's slightly biased against women though so girls beware.

Here's the link:
http://www.laddertheory.com/
pretty straightforward.

Enjoy!

IF A MAN FINDS YOU ATTRACTIVE YOU CANNOT BE FRIENDS

"Many women want to argue this point and say things like " I have lots of guy friends." Maybe. There are exactly 3 cases Intellectual Whores has identified whereby a guy and a girl can be friends:

1. The guy is gay
2. The guy does not find you attractive
3. The guy already has a woman much higher than you on the ladder

Even Nietzsche knew this. Most guys know this intuitively. Most girls doubt. I have a challenge for all of you girls who still doubt. Pick a guy who does not meet any of the criterion on the above list that you think is your friend. Then ask yourself this question: If you were both alone at his place one night, and you excused yourself to the bathroom and came out naked and asked him to have sex with you would he:

1. Tell you he doesn't want to risk the beautiful friendship you have created with messy physical entanglements.

2. Comply.

Remember
...this only works if you are honest with yourself. Number one is of course something that guys hear all the time. Intellectual Whores refers to it as the Kiss of Death. It is more likely that he will jump you eagerly."

Came across this today. Discuss.

Just out of curiousity...

Does anyone following this blog live anywhere near the New York metro?
I figured I'd ask.

Explorers are we.

I've had a very super crazy eventful two days. Last night, my great great friend Shaun Kincaid ad I walked around New York City at 1 in the morning. From 70th, to 40th, to the East side, to 103rd, then cutting through central park and walking south back home. It was awesome! took 3 and a half hours and we saw a ton of cool stuff, ranging from random hole in the wall novelty shops, white castles, and crazies that walk down the street.

Something we passed on this adventure was Rodney Dangerfield's old comedy club. HOLY SHIT. This was really cool to me. That place gave hundreds of comedians their start.
Anyhow, this is the first of my adventures. More to come I promise.

My friends and I are planning a complete 24 hour trip like the one I just explained. we will leave home at 8 and explore for 24 full hours. It's gonna be great.

Some of you may find this as either interesting, misled, outlandish, or you might think it's a topic that is kind of iffy, but I want to consider an idea.

Let us say that a man, whom has been with one other woman for his entire romantic life. He knows nothing of anyone else. Now this relationship, which has gone on for years and landed on topics of marriage and other perspectives like that, suddenly ends.
The man is heartbroken and is practically been emotionally beaten from the hurt.

Now introduce a woman who is in a "similar" boat. But she is hindered by a different influence. Alcohol.

Some people make foolish choices when drunk. That's true. But I want to ask how some of you might feel about this topic:

Could a negative emotion be as mentally inebriating to someone as the influence of alcohol can?
I mean we call it "rebounding". but could that simply be the term we've given to that type of occurrence?

Just a thought.
Tootles.

Finals are dooooneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I'm flyin' high, and you are too. Life is expanding, forever giving way to growth and power. Our possibilities are limitless and our strength the same. We keep going wherever the wind takes us and soon our destination will reveal itself. Rock on.

Sleep? Where we're going, we don't need sleep.

Finals are kicking my ass but otherwise, I'm still alive. I promise.
I apologize for the long period of time that it has been between posts.
I haven't had much free time on my hands lately and I figured I would ride out the semester and then start blogging again at the end of the term. I have 4 more days then I'm done, so grit your teeth and bear with me everyone! I'll be sure to log in some amazing stories over the course of my special that I want to call, my TWO FULL WEEKS OF NOTHING SOUPALOOPA EXTRAVIGANZA! It'll be great. But for now, here's a picture of the first thing that "azsxdcvfgbhjk" finds on google.

I'm not joking either. Google it yourself if you want.

Regards!

Alyssa's WORDS-OF-WISDOM!

"Can I borrow a bowl? I wanna have cereal tomorrow."
In today's news, Magic the gathering is the shit. Also, it's a great weekend to hang with friends and be awesome like I know you are.

Snow finally arrived on the grounds of NYC and I couldn't be happier. The snow is absolutely gorgeous and Now, I'm very much in the Christmas spirit. So screw you Earth for being a month behind.
Anyhow... uh. Tell me how your weekend was. If you haven't told anyone yet, you might as well tell someone!

What is love? Baby don't hurt me. Don't hurt me. No more.

As a kid I was always a hopeless romantic. I was constantly questioning the idea of love. How it was felt, expressed, or discovered.
Even now, I have about the same understanding on the subject as I had before then. Nothing.
Love is just an enigma to me. It's quickly moving, fading, popping up in the oddest of places, and always introducing you to a new point of view in the world.

That's another thing that I've noticed! Love doesn't always make you notice people! It can make you notice how the wind blows. How the sun shines on a building face and reflects onto the ground. Or it can make you have a new interest. A passion can be ignited.

Maybe love isn't an emotion. Could it be simply your heart speaking to you?  Just telling you what it wants to try? There are plenty of times when a passion pulls me to something new and I didn't like it that much. Maybe that was my heart saying it wanted to try. Then, just as fast as the feeling appeared, it was gone.

Who knows. There's my philosophy for the day.

Some amazing news today! SOPA and PIPA have been knocked out of the park! The numbers reached into the millions of people taking part and we managed to fight off the lot.

The internet showed it's teeth and told the government we were not going to deal with their shit. Thank you internet! Together we did it.

Great news!

-McCraken

Edit: Mik raises a point! The war isn't over! Just keep doing what we've been doing for the past month! Keep going! keep fighting! It's on the final stretch.

Yours is the drill that will peirce the heavens

Man I've just been getting into animes recently and I'm kinda diggin' it.

A couple essentials that any Anime fan should know about are Fooly Cooly and Gurren Lagann. They're both "giant mecha japanese anime", but they both have unbelievable stories that are thrilling to reach an end to. I know you're probably sick of me talking about anime, but I commend to you my regards for these series'. They're well made indeed.

Shameless Plug..... Lol....

A great great great friend o' mine, Matthew "Motherfuckin" Tricky, has a video blog, or video..... news cast, or whatever he calls it. But the name is "First Perk Daily" and he's just a great ball of energy and he gives some fun facts, has the viewers take part in some stuff, and he's just an all around good person.
You don't have to follow it faithfully, but at least humor me now and play just a little bit of it.

When he refers to "town" he means the fantastical town of Yakima, Washington and Manic Thunder is the improv troop that him, my dad, and a bunch of friends are in. If you're anywhere near the area, I'd highly recommend going sometime.

Matthew, I lub you.

Laugh Damnit

Have you ever had a day where your energy is just really high? Or maybe it's a day where you just feel really good!

This is one of those days for me. It's awesome! I've felt lethargic for the past like two months and now! Suddenly, my mind opens up and I'm spinning super fast on a trail of thought and clarity.

Anyhow, do update things, school has settled (finally) and I'm back on a (quasi) normal sleep schedule, I'm coasting, and it feels great.

Now over break I said I was so sick of top ramen (maruchan or the latter) that I probably would never eat it again. But upon my return to school, where my diet is suddenly restricted to essentials and fruit, I am missing top ramen. that's a problem. I should be getting a package soon though so that's good.

I find myself wanting to play ultimate frisbee too. Like really bad. And I really want a guitar. Or at least have one to learn how to play. I'd even be okay with a bass. I'd learn the shit out of that. Oh well. We'll see where this leads and whether I follow through or not.

Friday, January 6, 2012

As to my followers and readers, I hope you forgive me for not updating recently. Not only is it somewhat difficult for me as a person to keep up with a blog, but recently I've been extremely busy since I've returned to school. Fortunately, I will do what I can to update a little more now.

Love everyone!

Persona 4

To anyone interested, there is a Anime that is currently being subbed episode by episode. The story is actually really cool, the characters hilarious, and the writing,  although sometimes kinda "engrish-y",  is truly brilliant. It's based on a video game that came out for the Playstation 2.
The show is called Persona 4.
To anyone interested, there's only 12 episodes out so far and they're still coming out, slowly but surely.
It's a great show and I'm certain you'd enjoy it even if you don't really enjoy animes.  It's about a bunch of kids who try to solve a mystery by going inside televisions and fighting these shadow figures and saving victims of kidnapping cases that have been happening around their local area.

Hope you guys enjoy. It can be found here:

Happy friday!
